Brian Johnson - St. Louis Pianist/Vocalist

Brian has played piano since he was 8 years old. His musical influences in Jazz Include pianists Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, and Chick Corea. Brian prefers melody and solid chord changes over virtuosity. “I think the music should speak for itself.” His popular influences include Billy Joel, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, and Elton John. Brian divides his time between teaching private students in age range from six to forty six and performing. He plays, directs, performs, and composes for a gospel church on the near north side, plays for private parties and performs in clubs.
